Let’s look at how I set up a Kit landing page for a pet brand, Pawfecto, where I’m offering a discount in exchange for an email signup.

Since my goal is lead generation, I chose a template with a simple email signup form.

  • A user-friendly dog-themed design that aligns with my brand.
  • A large image of a happy dog using one of our products.
  • A clear, bold headline that highlights the offer.

Write a clear, benefit-driven headline

Your headline is the first thing people see, so it needs to be compelling.

Don’t just say 'Premium Dog Products.'

Try 'Spoil Your Pup – Grab 10% Off Today!' to incentivize customers to take immediate action.

Along with the headline, a short subheadline adds credibility, such as:

  • 'Join thousands of happy pet parents who love Pawfecto’s premium dog products!'
  • 'Sign up now and treat your furry friend to Pawfecto’s premium accessories—because they deserve the best. :)'

This combination tells visitors what they get (10% off) and why they should trust Pawfecto (thousands of satisfied customers).

Use high-quality product images or videos

Since shoppers can’t see or touch your items in person, photos and videos become essential.

Use:

  • Professional images with a clean background (avoid messy, low-quality photos).
  • Lifestyle images showing the product in use.
  • A short video (optional) showcasing features or customer testimonials.

If you’re sourcing from AliExpress or suppliers, make sure to edit or enhance their images to match your branding.

Add a compelling call-to-action (CTA)

A CTA button should be bold, action-oriented, and stand out on the page. Instead of a generic 'Submit' or 'Buy,' use conversion-focused CTAs:

  • 'Claim Your 10% Discount Now'
  • 'Limited Stock – Order Today'

For best results, place the CTA above the fold (visible without scrolling) and repeat it throughout the page.

Once someone signs up, Kit automatically sends them a discount code via email, directing them to wherever you handle your orders—be it a website or Instagram DMs.

Tip: If you’re running a limited-time campaign, add a countdown timer. Urgency often nudges visitors to act right away instead of 'thinking about it.' In my experience, this simple addition can dramatically boost conversions, especially for impulse buys.

Step 4: Edit the welcome email

Your welcome email should go out automatically, deliver the discount code, and guide each new subscriber toward their next step. 

Here’s how I set mine up for Pawfecto, my dog-products brand on Instagram:

  • Explain how to use the discount. Tell them exactly where to enter the code, whether that’s on your website, Instagram DMs, or another checkout process.
  • Outline payment and next steps. Let them know how they can pay and what happens after they place their order. If you don’t have a website, be crystal clear about the process (e.g., 'Send us a quick DM to confirm your order!').
  • Reassure customers with reviews or guarantees. Add a line or two about your happy customers, any guarantees you offer, or your return policy. For Pawfecto, I included a line like 'Join thousands of pet parents who trust our brand!' to boost credibility.
  • Push for action. Encourage them to use their discount right away. Urgency helps convert curiosity into purchases, so let them know the offer won’t last forever.

Step 5: Publish and promote your landing page

Once your landing page and welcome email are set up, it’s time to get the word out. 

If you don’t have a website, promotion becomes even more important—you need people to land on your page and sign up or buy right away.

Get a custom domain (optional)

If you own a domain, connect it to your landing page builder for a professional look.

By default, Kit gives you a free landing page URL: 'pawfecto.kit.com/discount.'

But if you use a custom domain like 'pawfecto.com/discount,' it’ll be much easier for your customers to remember and more trustworthy.

If you’re just testing a product and want to keep costs low, the default URL is fine; you can always use a link shortener like Bitly to tidy it up.

If you’re building a long-term brand, a branded domain builds trust and is easier to share on social media.

Share your link on social media

  • TikTok Ads. Best for viral products or impulse buys.
  • Google Ads (Search & Shopping). Best for buyers actively searching for your product. Target keywords like 'Best dog harness for small dogs' and direct users to your landing page.

Leverage influencers & affiliates

Influencer marketing is one of the best ways to build trust and reach a wider audience—especially if you’re selling through Instagram or TikTok.

But how do you find influencers?

  • Look for micro-influencers (5K–20K followers) in your niche.
  • Use influencer marketing platforms such as Heepsy, where you can discover more than 11 million influencers worldwide.

You can then DM them offering a free product in exchange for a shoutout and ask them to mention your discount link in their bio or posts.

But if you want influencers to actively promote your landing page, offer them an affiliate commission for every sale they generate.
