Our story

Founded in 2018, Do Dropshipping aims to give everyone access to the resources they need to start their own dropshipping business.

Richard created Do Dropshipping after seeing so many paid dropshipping courses popping up, often promising beginners that dropshipping was an easy way to make money online.

After two years of solo writing and growing, Do Dropshipping became a team of 15 people working on research, writing, editing, and improving the site. If you're interested in joining us, you can find more information here.

On DoDropshipping.com, you will learn how to start and improve your dropshipping store without paying for a dropshipping course.

Our Journey: From Free Dropshipping Guides to a Global Ecommerce Resource

  1. 2026

    More Tools & Practical Help

    Now

We are expanding Do Dropshipping with free interactive tools, checkers, calculators, and comparison resources that help readers make faster ecommerce decisions.

Instead of only explaining a topic, we want more pages to give readers something they can use directly, whether they are checking a supplier, estimating costs, comparing options, or planning their next step.

    Current focus
More practical tools for supplier research, shipping estimates, store checks, pricing decisions, and beginner planning.
    Why it matters
Interactive tools help readers apply the information to their own situation instead of only reading generic advice.
  2. 2025

    Clearer Editorial Standards

    Standards

We made our editorial process more visible by clarifying how we research, review, and update important guides.

Do Dropshipping had always been built around free, practical education, but this year we made the standards behind that work easier for readers to understand.

That included clearer update notes, stronger supplier review checks, and a more transparent Editorial Policy.

    What changed
The standards became more clearly documented and visible, especially for guides where recommendations, pricing, supplier details, platform notes, or legal considerations can materially affect readers.
  3. 2024

    Cleaner, More Practical Guides

    UX

As ecommerce content became more generic, we focused on making our guides easier to compare, easier to scan, and more useful for real decision-making.

That meant improving supplier tables, comparison sections, practical summaries, article structure, and the way key information is presented across important guides.

  4. 2023

    A Broader Ecommerce Resource

    Growth

Do Dropshipping continued growing beyond basic dropshipping tutorials into a wider ecommerce resource.

We added and improved content around supplier research, platform comparisons, product ideas, store examples, business models, and the practical decisions beginners face before launching a store.

  5. 2022

Reaching Over 1 Million Annual Readers

    1M+

Do Dropshipping reached more than 1 million annual readers, showing that free, practical dropshipping education could reach a global audience without selling a paid course.

This milestone reinforced the original mission: help readers understand dropshipping before they spend money on suppliers, platforms, tools, or courses.

  6. 2020

From Solo Project to Team Effort

    Growth

After the first years of publishing, Do Dropshipping started growing from a solo project into a more structured resource with more research, editing, and comparison work behind the scenes.

The goal stayed the same: help people understand dropshipping before spending money on tools, suppliers, platforms, or courses.

  7. 2018

    Do Dropshipping Is Founded

    Start

Richard started Do Dropshipping after seeing too many expensive courses promising beginners that dropshipping was an easy path to quick money.

The idea was simple: create a free, honest, and practical resource that explains how dropshipping actually works, including the difficult parts.

    Original mission
Make practical dropshipping education available for free.
    Still true today
We do not sell a paid dropshipping course.

Our mission

Do Dropshipping is focused on providing the information needed to understand, start, and grow a dropshipping store. In case you're not sure what dropshipping means, take a look at our infographic below:

The dropship model - Infographic

The problem we are trying to solve is simple: there are many so-called online “gurus” selling dropshipping courses for hundreds or thousands of dollars.

They often sell the dream of getting rich fast, where the only thing you supposedly need to do is buy their course.

But dropshipping is not a shortcut to easy money. It is a real business, and it takes product research, supplier checks, customer service, testing, patience, and a willingness to learn.

Our goal with Do Dropshipping is to provide real information and practical help about dropshipping for free, so readers can avoid paying thousands of dollars for basic information that should be easier to access.

No more paid dropshipping courses!

Most companies offering to teach you how to become a successful drop shipper are making their money selling you and others their training programs.

It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or if you already know a thing or two. You will surely learn something new here on Do Dropshipping.

What we don't do

– We do not sell a paid dropshipping course.
– We do not promise overnight success.
– We do not present dropshipping as passive income.
– We do not recommend ignoring taxes, product liability, supplier quality, or customer service.
– We do not hide the fact that building an ecommerce store takes work.

Standards in 30 seconds

Every guide on Do Dropshipping is written to help readers make more informed ecommerce decisions, not to sell a dream.

We research suppliers, platforms, tools, business models, and ecommerce trends carefully, and we update important guides when pricing, policies, availability, or platform features change.

When a topic involves legal, tax, financial, or business risk, we explain the practical considerations and encourage readers to get professional advice when needed.

You can read the full framework in our Editorial Policy.

How we review suppliers, tools, and platforms

When we cover a supplier, an ecommerce platform, or a product research tool, we look at the practical factors that matter to store owners.

That can include pricing, product range, shipping options, integrations, refund policies, support quality, user experience, and whether the service is beginner-friendly.

For supplier reviews and comparisons, we also use a dedicated supplier ranking system to review suppliers more fairly and consistently.

This system starts with a 5.0 out of 5.0 score and then evaluates factors like product prices, product quality, catalog size, delivery time, features, monthly pricing, and public user reviews.

For a deeper breakdown, see our supplier ranking system in the Editorial Policy.

Some reviews are based on hands-on testing. Others are research-based, especially when direct testing is not possible or when a topic is better evaluated by comparing multiple suppliers, official documentation, pricing pages, platform policies, user-facing features, and publicly available information.

In both cases, we aim to keep each guide useful, balanced, and clear about what readers should check before choosing a supplier, tool, or platform.

We do not declare one option “the best” for everyone. We aim to help readers understand which supplier, tool, or platform fits their situation.

Funding and editorial independence

Do Dropshipping is independently operated and may earn revenue from affiliate links, ads, sponsorships, and partnerships. This helps keep our guides, tools, and resources free for readers.

It does not change what we publish, which suppliers we include, or how we explain the pros and cons of a platform, tool, or service.

Who writes and reviews our content

Do Dropshipping content is written and reviewed by our editorial team, with Richard overseeing the site's direction and editorial standards.

For topics involving legal, tax, financial, or business risk, we aim to explain the practical considerations clearly, but our content should not replace advice from a qualified professional.
